TIDAL joined forces with deadmau5 to give fans a behind-the-scenes look at what goes into one of his extravagant performances. Although the entire documentary is only available to the streaming platform's subscribers, a short trailer has been uploaded to YouTube featuring short clips and music from various mau5trap artists and collaborators like i_o, No Mana, Lights, and more.
The documentary focuses on deadmau5 (real name Joel Zimmerman) and mau5trap's Ultra Music Festival 2019festivities. Included in the video are interviews with a number of people close to the Canadian EDM superstar, footage from some of the label signees' performances, and behind-the-scenes looks at how the Cube 3.0 stage came to life.
Just a few days ago, Zimmerman unveiled a subscription-based streaming service in the wake of deleting his Twitch account. Fans were also excited to see his techno alias TESTPILOT headlining this year's Seismic Dance Event alongside Eric Prydz techno alias Cirez D.
Wild Things: Life Inside The mau5trap is out now exclusively on Tidal. Subscribers can watch the entire 25-minute documentary here.
