Swedish House Mafia's now-unavailable heavy metal-inspired merchandise was met with some criticism when it was unveiled last weekend.
Swedish House Mafia just revealed the next step in their grand comeback: heavy metal-inspired merchandise. The Swedish three-piece revealed the new designs on Twitter with a link to the now closed shop.
The first of the two shirts simply features a crowd shot with an '80s hair band-reminiscent font. The other features the world on fire with lightning in the background, because is there anything more metal than showing the entire planet ablaze? While some fans posted screen shots of their orders and expressed their support, the unveiling was met with some angry, meme-filled criticism.
Last month, the Swedish trio canceled their performance at Ultra Korea due to "unforeseen circumstances." In other festival-related news, many are speculating that Axwell, Steve Angello, and Sebastian Ingrosso will be taking the stage on day three of this year's Tomorrowland.
They are also set to headline the recently relocated Ultra Europe in Croatia, alongside The Chainsmokers, Rezz, Armin van Buuren, and more.
At the time of writing, it's not clear whether the merchandise was unavailable on the store due to selling out or for another reason entirely.
