Swedish House Mafia Pull Out of Weekend Festival Performance

Swedish House Mafia have cancelled another stop on their 2019 tour.

Swedish House Mafia's highly anticipated reunion tour has seen its second unfortunate cancellation. Last month the EDM supergroup pulled out of their Ultra Korea appearance, and now they've announced that they will no longer perform at Weekend Festival in Helsinki, Finland.

A statement posted via the Swedish House Mafia Instagram account cites "production issues that can't be fixed with such short notice" as grounds for the cancellation. Event organizers echoed the trio's reasoning in their own statement, revealing plans to find another act to fill the time slot.

Axwell, Sebastian Ingrosso and Steve Angello capped off a five-year hiatus with a performance at the 2018 edition of Ultra Music Festival. Later in the year they announced that a full reunion tour was in the works, and then they kicked it off in May of 2019 with three consecutive shows in Stockholm.

Fans remain hungry for new music from the trio. Aside from testing out a songs like "Underneath It All" at some of their recent gigs, however, all they've officially released thus far is a quirky line of merchandise.

Swedish House Mafia are scheduled to resume touring with a performance at Ushuaïa Ibiza on July 26th.
