Swedish House Mafia have given their fans a hint at what their third announcement will be.
You have to give Swedish House Mafia credit for knowing how to keep people talking about them. The recently reunited supergroup revealed not one, not two, but three countdown timers over the past two week. When the first two wound down they announced Stockholm dates – but the trio have all but confirmed that the most recent timer corresponds to a performance in Mexico City.
Swedish House Mafia members Steve Angello, Axwell and Sebastian Ingrosso have each shared images of three black text lines reading “MEXICO CITY” over a white background to their Instagram Stories. The “Don’t You Worry Child” producers employed the same marketing tactic in the days leading up to the announcement of their first Stockholm show.
At the 2018 edition of Ultra Music Festival in Miami, Swedish House Mafia made their highly anticipated return to the stage. It made for a full-circle moment of sorts being that the supergroup’s final performance before their five-year hiatus took place at the 2013 installment of the same festival.
Swedish House Mafia have yet to reveal the date or exact location of their upcoming Mexico City performance. They will likely disclose more details when their third countdown timer runs out on November 6th, 2018 at 15:00:00 UTC.
