Steve Aoki's unexpected Backstreet Boys collaboration now has a visual accompaniment.
Late last month, Steve Aoki turned heads with the announcement that he had a Backstreet Boys collaboration in the works. "Let It Be Me" came out soon after via Ultra Music, and now the song has been accompanied by a heartstring-tugging music video.
The song's understated melodies and heartfelt lyrics are synced to black-and-white clips of people discussing their personal struggles interspersed with footage of the boy band performing the track. Each individual finds resolution as the color bleeds back into the frame shortly before the bridge segues into the final chorus.
Aoki is certainly no stranger to collaborating with musicians outside the scope of EDM DJ/producers. In recent memory alone, he's remixed Kid Cudi's "Erase Me" in addition to joining forces with Darren Criss for a cover of "Crash Into Me" by Dave Matthews Band.
