Skrillex is satisfying the demand for two highly coveted songs he's been playing in his sets.
Speculation of a Skrillex EP release swirled in the news earlier this week – and it's now been confirmed. Skrillex has dropped his two-track Show Tracks EP alongside collaborators Alvin Risk and Beam.
The EP's cover art leaked on a Russian social media page earlier this week, but up until the time of its release Skrillex (real name Sonny Moore) had not addressed the rumored EP.
The EP, which is comprised of "Fuji Opener" and "Mumbai Power," aims to satisfy the demand of fans of who've been following Moore's sets for the last several months. Aside from his tour, he has teased "Fuji Opener" previously on social media, ultimately suggesting this previously untitled track might be primed for an official release.
The EP's first track also marks Moore and Alvin Risk's first collaboration in five years since their 2014 dubstep offering "Try It Out." The second track, "Mumbai Power," sees Moore swapping the gritty bass lines for big, melodic chords and sweeping soundscapes alongside Beam.
Moore's next show is scheduled for June 21st at his KAOS residency in Las Vegas. Much like the lead up to the formal release, fans can expect to hear Show Tracks sprinkled in his sets in the foreseeable future.
