Seven Lions to Debut Abraxis Project with Dimibo at Dreamstate SoCal 2019

Seven Lions is getting ready to let his psytrance flag fly.

If you've been following the Dreamstate SoCal 2019 lineup announcements, you'll know that the latest one is something of an upset. Among the more classic and obscure offerings of the all-trance festival will be the debut of Seven Lions and Dimibo's new psytrance project Abraxis.

Trance purists may turn their noses at the addition of Seven Lions (real name Jeff Montalvo) as he specializes in melodic dubstep. His trance credentials ought to speak for themselves, however. In addition to his longstanding relationship with Above & Beyond and Anjunabeats, he's been known to occasionally incorporate psytrance into his sets.

Dimibo are a Seattle-based psytrance duo. They have released music by way of Montalvo's Ophelia Records imprint and performed a back-to-back set with him at the 2018 edition of EDC Las Vegas.

Dreamstate SoCal is the flagship festival of Insomniac's all-trance event brand, which is meant to cater to the tastes of the genre's more discerning fans. Among the headliners announced thus far are Ferry Corsten, Aly & Fila, Giuseppe Ottaviani and Astrix.

The 2019 edition of Dreamstate SoCal will take place at the NOS Events Center in San Bernardino, California on November 22nd and 23rd. Tickets go on sale this Friday, June 21st.
