The amount is expected to be somewhere in the millions, but not to exceed $30 million.
Two weeks ago, it came to light that Skrillex and Marshmello would prematurely end their residencies at KAOS Nightclub, Las Vegas' newest superclub. According to unnamed sources, however, the latter artist will by no means leave empty handed.
The Las Vegas Review-Journal reported that Marshmello (real name Chris Comstock) will receive a severance package to the tune of millions of dollars. The sum is said to not exceed $30 million, however.
In conversation with Casino.org, a Miami-based attorney named James Sammataro speculated that Comstock's hefty severance was written into his contract as KAOS' talent buyers had entered into a bidding war with those of Wynn. The former nightclub is now said to experiencing financial difficulty, leading to the early termination of the residency.
Others remain skeptical of the rumor. L.A. entertainment attorney Kamal Moo told Casino.org, “I don’t see many agreements that give the artist the ability to just walk away from an engagement. That would basically defeat the purpose of having a contract.”
Cardi B and YG still remain the headliners for regular events at KAOS Nightclub.
