Macklemore Joins Martin Garrix Onstage at France’s Main Square Festival

Martin Garrix was joined onstage by Macklemore for the first live performance of their track "Summer Days."

Martin Garrix prepared a star-studded surprise for fans at his Main Square Festival set. During his headlining main stage performance, he shocked fans by bringing out Macklemore for a live rendition of their track "Summer Days."

Released back in April, "Summer Days" saw the duo join forces with Patrick Stump of Fall Out Boy.They performed the song live for the first time since it came out. Although it was an exciting surprise, the logistics of the appearance were quite simple considering Macklemore's set on the same stage ended just fifteen minutes before Garrix's began.

Two days prior to the aforementioned festival set, Garrix made his grand return after suffering an ankle injury that left him out of commission for a few weeks. The injury was serious enough that it forced him to cancel his Ultra Korea performance, where Porter Robinson was called in to fill his place.

Main Square Festival took place July 5th-7th at the Citadel of Arras in France. It featured performances from DJ Snake, Lizzo, Bring Me The Horizon, and more.
