Kygo and Rita Ora Link Up for “Carry On” from Pokémon: Detective Pikachu

Pokémon: Detective Pikachu hits theaters May 10th.

Norwegian superstar DJ/producer Kygo (real name Kyrre Gørvell-Dahll) has teamed up with the talented Rita Ora on the release of the new single "Carry On" with an accompanying video out today via Palm Tree Records/RCA Records. This track is the first featured release off the highly anticipated new film, Pokémon: Detective Pikachu. The film is set to be the first live-action Pokémon adventure starring Ryan Reynolds and Rita Ora. It's only fitting she would be included on the original soundtrack.

The track opens with Dahll's renowned piano skills as Ora's soulful vocals enter in. As the song progresses into the first instrumental build we are introduced to the airy tropical house beat that pairs beautifully with the top line. Ora's vocals get pitched up and overlayed creating a vibey track that is going to kill both radio play and live shows.

"Carry On" is Dahll's first release since "Thinking About You," which premiered this past February. The release featured a special cameo by Dylan Sprouse and was directed byfamed Instagram artist Sarah Bahbah. Since its debut, it has already racked in a whopping 42 million Spotify streams and 14 million YouTube views. Whatever the global superstar touches turns to gold.

Ora has been a star feature on a number of dance tracks throughout her career. One of her most notable collaborations includes her track "Lonely Together" with Avicii. Her upcoming sophomore album, Phoenix, is dedicated to the late producer.
