Kygo and Chelsea Cutler Release Heartfelt Summer Anthem “Not Ok”

Kygo and Chelsea Cutler join forces over a dance-pop song inspired by breakups.

Kygo returns for his third single of the year, this time joining forces with multi-instrumentalist and songwriter Chelsea Cutler on "Not Ok."

While "Not Ok" comprises an unlikely blend of heartbreak, dance-pop, and uplifting melodies, Kygo and Chelsea Cutler find just the right balance to make the contrast work. Cutler guides an otherwise somber setting into a catchy singalong with melodic leads from Kygo following closely behind.

It's been a busy month for Kygo as "Not Ok" comes on the heels of his previous release, "Carry On." The Norwegian producer teamed up with Rita Ora to bring the latter single to the big screen as part of the POKÉMON: Detective Pikachusoundtrack.

Chelsea Cutler has been no stranger to the dance music space having cut records with Kasbo, Louis the Child and Kidswaste to name a few. Outside of her dance music collaborations she's been riding a wave of new music including a double album Sleeping With Roses and an EP with Jeremy Zucker titled brent.
