…Although we could have told you that months ago.
In news that should come as no surprise to anyone with a finger anywhere near the pulse of EDM, the Porter Robinson-curated Second Sky Music Festival will return in 2020. The inaugural edition was a runaway success before it even commenced, and the event itself appears to have exceeded the expectations of most in attendance.
Robinson reportedly made the announcement in front of his sold-out audience on the first day of the festival. Los Angeles promoter Brownies & Lemonade reiterated the news in a recap tweet before the second and final day.
Robinson teamed up with Goldenvoice on Second Sky, which was originally called Multiverse Music Festival before complaints from promoters of a smaller Oakland festival forced them to rebrand it. Among the highlights of the two-day event were Robinson's only "Worlds Live" performance of 2019 and a surprise set by none other than Skrillex.
Neither Porter Robinson nor Goldenvoice have announced the official dates for the 2020 edition of Second Sky Music Festival at the time of writing.
