The duo's canceled performance led them to the studio instead.
Following the cancellation of their first-ever back-to-back set at Global Dance Festival, Excision and Illenium have revealed they are working on new music together.
The announcement was made on Twitter where Excision (real name Jeff Abel) posted a photo of himself with Illenium (real name Nicholas Miller) in the studio. Explaining that they were unable to sort out the logistics of organizing a makeup show for their much-hyped performance, the duo took the time to work on an upcoming collaboration.
The tweet was subsequently retweeted by Miller, who earlier in the day commented about his excitement over their scheduled B2B performance. Neither artist has hinted of a possible collaboration previously, so it garnered much attention from fans on social media.
Abel's Apex: The Remixes is due out tomorrow, while Miller returns to Europe for a quick summer stint this week.
