Dillon Francis, Zedd, and More Play in the Twitch Prime Apex Legends’ Crown Cup Competition

In honor of Amazon's upcoming Prime Day, Dillon Francis, Zedd, and more flexed their gaming skills in an Apex Legends competition.

In honor of Amazon's upcoming Prime Day sale, a collection of celebrities were paired up with professional streamers for the Apex Legends Crown Cup competition. Included in the battle were Zedd, Dillon Francis, Melissa Benoist, and more.

Zedd (real name Anton Zaslavski) shared behind-the-scenes footage of the event which shows both his and Dillon Francis' gaming rigs.

Despite a valiant effort from the two EDM-fronted teams, actor Jason Mewes from the Jay and Silent Bob movies was crowned champion.

The video game and electronic music worlds have never been more united, with crossovers appearing on a regular basis. Kygo & Rita Ora were recently featured on the soundtrack for Pokémon: Detective Pikachu, while Chandler Riggs of The Walking Dead hosted an entire music festival inside the game Minecraft.

The game that's dominated the electronic dance music world as of late has been Apex Legends' rival, Fortnite, however. Last month, RL Grime won a similar tournament hosted in the wildly popular game. Just a month prior, Dillon Francis and Cray performed at the Fortnite Summer Block Party concert in California.

It wouldn't feel right to mention video game crossovers without including Marshmello's in-game Fortnite concert and event, which broke concurrent player records and is considered the biggest video game and music crossover to date.
