A recent Instagram post from Diplo has swept the EDM world into a frenzy.
It's been three years since Diplo and Skrillex shelved their collaborative side project, Jack Ü. If the former artist's recent social media activity serves as any indicator, new music from the endeavor may be on its way.
Diplo (real name Thomas Wesley Pentz Jr.) shared a clip of him playing a remix of Jack Ü's smash hit Justin Bieber collaboration "Where Are Ü Now" at a festival. In the caption he gauged fans' interest in new music from the project, leading many to believe it may already be in the works.
After Skrillex (real name Sonny Moore) and Pentz each rode the wave of the EDM boom straight to superstardom irrespective of one another, they formed Jack Ü in 2013 and released their debut single "Take Ü There" the following year. "Where Are Ü Now" won a Grammy Award for Best Dance Recording in 2015, but the duo disbanded in 2016.
It remains to be seen whether Diplo's tweet indeed pointed to new music from his and Skrillex's Jack Ü project.
