deadmau5 is set to release his first BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix as TESTPILOT tonight.
Despite his colorful mau5heads and giant LED cube stages, deadmau5 (real name Joel Zimmerman)frequently shifts to the dark side with his techno alter ego, TESTPILOT. Premiering tonight on BBC Radio 1 is the Canadian legend's first essential mix under the moniker.
Zimmerman's recent advancements in the TESTPILOT project has kept fans wondering what his next big move will be. He recently revitalized the dedicated social media accounts for the side project, stirring up speculation from fans worldwide. He also recently released his entire Electric Forest 2018 Mix following Dubset and Warner Music Group's deal.
Fans of deadmau5' dip into the abyss will have plenty of opportunities to hear it in person this year. In addition to the debut of his cube 3.0 at this year's Ultra Music Festival, he'll be working double time with a second performance at the festival as TESTPILOT. Other upcoming appearances include Beyond Wonderland and Creamfields.
TESTPILOT's BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix premieres tonight. You can tune in here.
