Communities in Schools of Southern Nevada Selected as EDC Las Vegas Charity Beneficiary

Insomniac has announced the nonprofit for it's fifth charity campaign.

For five years now, Insomniac's EDC Las Vegas festival has been fundraising for charities in Las Vegas to benefit the local community. Partnering with Surreal, an online fundraising platform, Insomniac has chosen Communities In Schools (CIS) of Southern Nevada as its beneficiary for 2019.

CIS of Southern Nevada is a nonprofit dedicated to dropout prevention and providing resources necessary for students in low-income K-12 schools to succeed. The charity is affiliated with the nation's leading dropout prevention organization, and serves over 50,000 students in Las Vegas.

The charity initiative offers two different donation options. Fans can donate various amounts of money to earn tickets for a sweepstakes with prizes including meet and greets with Tiësto, Martin Garrix, Kaskade, Alesso and more, backstage tours, campground flyovers, carnival ride passes, and a number of other goodies.

There's also an auction option, where fans can bid on prizes beginning at $20. Those prizes include meet and greets with the likes of Diplo, Slander, Steve Aoki and more, an onstage wedding proposal opportunity, Insomniac Golden Tickets (which grant access to a multitude of upcoming Insomniac events), and much more.

These charity initiatives have raised more than $410,000 for Las Vegas area charities over the years, giving back to the local community and fostering its growth.

Fans can donate and enter the sweepstakes and auctions at givesurreal.com/edc2019. Tickets and more information about EDC Las Vegas 2019 fan be found at edclasvegas.com.
