The "Epstein didn't kill himself" meme just made its festival debut.
The internet has chosen memes as its medium of choice to challenge the mainstream media narrative around Jeffrey Epstein's death over the past few weeks. ATLiens decided to join in by displaying the words "Epstein didn't kill himself" on the screen after their Saturday set at the 2019 edition of EDC Orlando.
The "Epstein didn't kill himself" meme originated over a month ago; the phrase commonly appears at the end of unrelated text in image macros. Epstein was found dead on August 10th in his jail cell at Metropolitan Correctional Center in Manhattan after being arrested on sex trafficking charges. He had been connected to countless politicians and other celebrities, causing many to doubt the New York City medical examiner's ruling of his passing as a suicide.
ATLiens are an anonymous DJ/producer duo based in Atlanta who specialize in trap and dubstep. They have made no additional comments indicating whether they believe the conspiracy theory around Epstein's death or simply appreciate the phrase as a viral meme.
EDC Orlando 2019 began Friday, November 8th and concludes today, November 10th. Find set times here, and visit the event website for more information.
…Also, Epstein didn't kill himself.
