Armin van Buuren will Have His Own Escape Room at ADE

Armada Music has teamed up with Sherlocked Mystery Experiences on the attraction.

When you think about decorated figureheads of the trance community, escape rooms may not be the first thing that comes to mind. Armin van Buuren looks to change that. The Dutch DJ/producer and Armada Music founder is launching an escape room to coincide with Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE).

The premise of the escape room is that van Buuren has hidden one of the secrets to his success in a vault under Amsterdam's Beurs van Berlage. Along with team members of their choosing, visitors are challenged to slip into the building and "unlock the secret of Balance," which is the title of the superstar's upcoming album.

“I’m a huge fan of escape rooms, so launching my own escape room in celebration of my new album Balance is something I’m very excited about," said van Buuren in a statement. "I can’t wait to hear what you guys think of the album and the game, and I hope you can fully lose yourselves in the story of Balance. And that you manage to get out unscathed of course!”

The limited edition escape room will be open for two weeks beginning on October 16th. Balance is due out on October 25th. More information is available on the escape room website.
