BIOGRAPHY
The enthusiasm that emanates from Belgian big-room artist Yves V continues to burn with the stellar magnitude of a supernova. His placing in the 2015 DJ Mag Top 100 DJs rankings marked him out as among the highest climbers, progressing on from his impressive debut position of 2014, and 2017 also saw Yves take a placing in the industry-famous poll for a fourth consecutive year, rising 7 places to #55. Over the course of his career, Yves V has risen to international standing amongst his peers and global dance fans as a producer and DJ of high acclaim. Whilst his music now fills the playlists of the biggest DJs on the planet, gaining support from heavyweights including David Guetta, Afrojack, Martin Garrix, Armin van Buuren and Radio 1’s Danny Howard and Pete Tong, Yves’s name can also be found listed on billings for some of the most prestigious parties in the world. His sets have illuminated the mainstage of iconic events that include Tomorrowland, Sensation, Amsterdam Dance Event, David Guetta in Concert and Mysteryland, whilst triumphantly winning over the dancefloors at some of the scene’s most iconic clubs, including #1 club in the World Brasil’s Green Valley, Jakarta’s Warehouse Project, Pacha and Ushuaia Ibiza as well as World’s Largest Club at Germany’s World Club Dome. On the road his global exploits have led to a series of long and successful tours throughout Indonesia, Malaysia, Brasil, Spain, France, Italy, India, his native home of Belgium and debut trip to Beijing earlier this year, along with huge shows out in Miami for the prestigious Miami Music Week, reflecting that the last 2 years have allowed Yves focus on executing some of his biggest live ventures yet. Taking his unmistakable sound to the colossal Lotto Arena in Antwerp, Yves in conjunction with Tomorrowland curated a one-of-a-kind ‘Lets Unite’ event that had tongues wagging for a long time after, as he was joined by special guests Smash The House bosses Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, ‘Wait Til Tomorrow’ collaborator Regi, party-ready duo Wolfpack and ‘Magic’ partner in crime Sidney Samson. The true scope of this spectacular event didn’t go unnoticed, captivating thousands with its wall-to-wall energy, instigated from a true hero of the scene. The past 2 Summers also saw him make huge waves in Ibiza with his V Sessions project, as well as recurring appearances at not only Privilege – which he returned to as part of the SupermartXe brand with his V Sessions concept throughout the season for 2016 - but also at ‘House of Madness’ at Amnesia and ‘Blackout’ at Amnesia during summer 2017. Add to this an appearance at the legendary open-air Ushuaia alongside Australian duo NERVO and UK rapper Tinie Tempah, as well as playing there this year as part of Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike’s ‘Garden of Madness’, and all of these top-tier bookings continue on in cementing his towering status within the international dance community. From the studio, his music is vacuum-packed and released on the dancefloor by every major artist from Tiësto and Martin Garrix, to Steve Angello and Nicky Romero. Whilst his remix work encompasses A-list artists with a hip-hop flavour, including putting his stamp on the releases of Timbaland, Missy Elliott and Ginuwine, all of this has led to Yves’ own productions being released on a plethora of the best record labels in modern dance music including Armin Van Buuren’s Armada, Chuckie’s Dirty Dutch, Spinnin’ and Doorn Records. His remix of ‘Insane Pressure’ was the release that broke Yves into the consciousness of his peers, since then growing his productions from underground bangers into major Beatport hits that includes ‘Cloudbreaker’ (with Basto), ‘King Cobra’ (with Don Diablo), Top 10 Beatport smash ‘Octagon’, huge-hitter ‘Indigo’ and Spinnin’ heaters ‘Unbroken’, ‘Direct Dizko (with Sander Van Doorn), ‘Find Your Soul’ and ‘Madagascar’ (with Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike), as well as long-awaited ID’s ‘Joker’, ‘Daylight’, ‘Blow’ (with Mark Benjamin) and Winter 2016’s huge free Armada release ‘Condor’ which sent fans and peers alike into overdrive. All of these head up Yves’s release total to an impressive nine, strong tracks already this year, supporting that his studio and production output is just as prolific and prominent to rival his extensive laps of the global live circuit.
