BIOGRAPHY
Grammy Nominated Producer, Audien, began producing music as a teenager and gradually took his innovative progressive trance sound to the top of the electronic music world. Audien has gone on to chart numerous times on the Billboard charts, sell out some of the world’s most prestigious venues, and headline major festivals.
Audien started creating dance music in 2008 and initially released happy hardcore on Only Vibes Recordings, a digital label he co-founded with producer Naggy. After he made the transition to trance music in 2009 he sent a demo of what would ultimately become “Rise & Shine” to Ferry Corsten who released it on his label Flashover Recordings.
Numerous singles followed on labels like Songbird, First State Music, Enhanced Progressive, and Perceptive Deep which led to progressive house DJs such as Tiësto, Above & Beyond, and Armin van Buuren to take notice of Audien’s euphoric sound. This Armin Van Buuren subsequently offered Audien an opening slot at the Roseland Ballroom in New York City in 2011. Shortly thereafter, he released tracks on Anjunabeats and Trice Recordings and toured the United States with Hardwell.
In 2014 Audien remixed Michael Jackson’s “Slave to the Rhythm” and Bastille’s “Pompeii,” the latter of which was heavily supported in the club and festival circuits. Eventually, “Pompeii” was nominated for a Grammy for “Best Remixed Recording, Non Classical.” Not long after nomination, he released “Insomnia,” which topped Billboard’s Dance music chart.
In 2015, Audien signed to Astralwerks and released his debut EP, “Daydreams,” which included the single “Something Better,” a collaboration with country superstars Lady Antebellum. “Something Better” marked Audien’s first time breaking into the Billboard Top 40 Pop chart after it had already reached number one on Billboard’s Dance Club Songs chart.
Two more major singles followed, “Crazy Love feat. Deb’s Daughter” in 2016 and “One More Weekend” with MAX in 2017.
Audien has also been a mainstay act in Las Vegas with residencies at Marquee, XS Nightclub, Encore Beach Club, and Drai’s Nightclub.
